Chip ReProgrammer

This handy device allows you to refill your chipped cartridges without having to purchase new chips or cartridge with each refill.

In two simple steps, the reprogrammer automatically resets the chip while in the cartridge. This holds the full-again ink level in its memory, giving you another 'cartridge' of ink...at least in the mind of the chip.

Once you refill your chipped cartridge, use this programmer and it will once again, allow the printer to function as if you placed a new cartridge into it.

This nearly universal resetter will work with the following printers:

Stylus Photo-780, 785EXP, 790, 810, 820, 830, 870, 875, 870LE, 875DCS, 890, 895, 915, 1270, 1280, 1290, 2000P

Stylus-C41, C42, C50, C60, C61, C62, C80, C82

Stylus Color-680, 685, 777, 777i

NOTE: This product is only guaranteed to work on OEM Epson chips. Many people have been doing a 'chip swap' by removing the OEM chips from the Epson brand cartridges and moving them to a third party cartridge if they are wanting to refill cartridges with a third party ink cartridge without contaminating the OEM cartridge. We can neither recommend for or against this practice.

Trouble shooting:

Problem:

The LED on the reprogrammer doesn't flash.

Possible causes:

The pins might not be making contact or you might be using a cartridge other than an Epson cartridge. Please note this might or might not reset an aftermarket chip. It is only guaranteed to work on actual Epson chips.

Problem:

The print quality is inferior.

Possible causes:

There might be air in the cartridges from the refill process. See our support page for suggested helps to overcome this.

Instructions:

1. Simply slide the pins into the Epson cartridge and secure it tightly so that it makes contact with the chip in the cartridge.

2. After a few seconds, the LED will flash telling you that it has been successful.

NOTE: There will be a piece of metal included with the resetter. This is to be used on the C80, 950 and 2100 printers. It is not used with the other printers.
